Re: Hoplisoma sp.?

This is the photo from the supplier, I will try to get some better ones this evening Thanks, -- Sean Agassizii is a pretty common species in the hobby in the USA, so if you do buy them, don't pay too much - They typically sell for about $7-$10 USD each on the West Coast, unless you're getting fish ...

Hi Sean,

Do you have photos of them with their dorsal fin flared? To me, these look like very young , or a similar C/CW number.

Re: Ancistrus triradiatus?

Hi newmanl, How big is this fish? I've seen pictures of juveniles ID'd as Ancistrus triradiatus with a pattern similar to this. I'm not sure the fish were ID'd correctly, but that's how they were labeled. If your fish is small (4-6cm SL), consider also Ancistrus sp`cucuta` and Ancistrus sp(8) . Chee...

Thanks. I thought so also, but sadly they didn't do well. They died after a few months. Hopefully I'll get another try at in the future.

Maps not displaying on CLOG pages

Hi Jools,

None of the CLOG pages I've checked, or genus or family pages either, are displaying the maps. I don't mean the maps aren't refreshing, I mean there is no map on the page.

Re: New 33 gallon long (4 foot) tank with waterfall and kinon

The adult really closely matches Mesovia.

Today I can't find the long‐legged nymph in the tank. I did a big water change (about 70%) , so maybe I killed it on the refilling?

Hopefully it's still in the tank somewhere.

Re: New 33 gallon long (4 foot) tank with waterfall and kinon

The bottom one is only a nymph stage, not a full adult, as it doesn't have wings yet. (They are good fliers when adult.) The first is a different species as the legs are arranged differently. Where are you from Eric as it may not be a UK species that I am familiar with. I'm in California, USA. Yes ...

Re: New 33 gallon long (4 foot) tank with waterfall and kinon

Still haven't made the final YouTube video for this tank, but there have been lots of changes. Most recently, I've discovered a colony of water striders (or maybe water treaders) living in the tank. I already had gnats and aphids in the tank, so hopefully the water striders are eating them. I expect...

Re: Could Panaques be brackish spawners?

Hi @Barbelses, Welcome to Planetcatfish! Your question is a fine question. The answer is most likely no. The MNHN database is very narrow. If you look at other websites (I've chosen GBIF.org as one example), the distribution for this species is pretty clearly freshwater. More curiously from this dat...
