HaakonH

If you are looking for a source of income, a calendar might be a better idea. A monthly look at one fish X 12 months.

Re: L271 poss spawn

I don't understand. The fish that I believe to be the male, spooked and left while the one I think is female has stayed in the cave.

L271 poss spawn

I've had the L271s since 11-8-17. A week ago I observed a large female spending time in a clay tube. Yesterday a male came a courting.

I have introduced raw corn on the cob (albeit frozen and defrosted) as a new addition to my feeding choices. All strip the corn down to the cob in a few minutes. -Barry

Home Alone

I will be leaving town for ten days. My wife has no interest in my plecos. I have reduced the temp from 89 degrees F. to 80
degrees F. to lessen evaporation and feeding. What do others do under similar circumstances?

Re: to bark or not to bark?

Since I haven't seen any dead plecos, nor any eaten areas of the apricot, I must surmise that they can sense in some fashion, as Darrel points out- some negative attribute of the apricot wood.

Jobro- Yes- I will augment the denuded pomegranate with fresh pieces. My thanks to all. -Barry

to bark or not to bark?

I have four pleco tanks. two are heavier into wood eaters. All have green pomegranate wood and a small amount of apricot wood. Noone eats the apricot wood but all pieces of pomegranate wood have been stripped of bark. Should I try to have the wood eaters eat the inner pomegranate wood or replace wit...

For what it is worth- I put 5-6 " of my wife's Pathos (no leaf polish) in each of my tanks..... no problems.

Re: L200 not eating propperly

I have both forms of L200 and have never seen the High Fins eat worms when offered. For them, I rotate squash, dried (non-sulfered) mango slices, algae spirolina tablets, Repashy Superfoods Soilent Green Gel, Repashy Super Green, sweet potatoe slices, etc. -Barry
