Re: Unusual Corydoras
Dorsal isn't black to the tip, I'd say ambiacus.
Judging on his eye here, he might be blind or near blind. But should get around and feed just fine.

Jools
They think a hybrid but aren't sure.
I'll see if they can get better pics

Re: Panda-ish Corydoras, but which one?
Look like "low quality" white panda mutation of pandas... low quality in terms that the natural colour bleeds in rather than showing true white.
Either way, theyre cute and interesting in looks all the same

Saltwater catfish?
Besides striped eel tailed cats, is there any catfish that is saltwater or maybe even high end brackish?
Someone is trying to see if there are any options but I guess striped eel tails are illegal where they are so that option is out.
Unsure where to post this

Marking is kept to above the upper body, too light to be CW048.

Will hazard a guess at c. Elegans or a similar one in that lineage.

Be cautious with this one.
The body shape is more short bodied, which isn't ideal for breeding. Combining this with inbreeding is risky.

The ID is probably good, these things aren't easy to ID 100%. Well done - it's a good looking individual. Cheers, Jools Thank you! That's one of the fun things with these guys is telling them apart. Seems Platorynchus is one of the most frequently seen at my stores here. All labeled as vittata thou...

Update on Small Farlowella ID
The last really tiny baby has grown up more, is reaching maturity now that he is growing little bristles on his rostrum. First confirmed male, pretty exciting since my others are female haha... There was some uncertainty over his species because of the belly schute pattern being toggling between 3 c...

Re: Corydoras Eques setup
Been some time since last update. No spawn yet but lots of prespawning behaviors. 20220127_222601.jpg Setup as of right now. It's coming along well. Less tannins for the "rainy season" and increased water flow and temperature dropped down to 72F. Lots of live foods offered as well as highe...

Re: Thought was p. Gibbiceps, second thoughts
All I know is we are in love with him. My son especially loves him. He loves plecos the most, so he's in awe of a large pleco. But Ugg so far is really mellow and peaceful with his new tankmates (goldfish, hoplos, and garra), he's not shy, comes out often. He swims like a shark--smooth and graceful ...
