As a total aside, did you know there are now two species of Bolivian Ram , look for long caudal fin extensions and caudal peduncle shading for the new sp. My ancistrus cf cirrhosis have spawned twice. First was with both my red calico, but the male passed away due to a heat wave shortly after. All fry from this are red calico, mostly longfins. My l240 plays dead. He sleeps on his back in his log and gives me a heart attack nearly every time he does it.

So far what I can get dorsal view and of fin patterns of male:

The male continues to be evasive, but the female is very happy to come out and about.
Theyre small, smaller than I'd expect. They're at least a year old and the female is smaller than my corydoras eques.

Just want to confirm that these are Ancistrus cf Cirrhosis and not one of the other obscure brown coloured Ancistrus. The male isn't super cooperative, so I will get better photos later if needed. Dorsal isn't black to the tip, I'd say ambiacus.

Judging on his eye here, he might be blind or near blind. But should get around and feed just fine.

Can you get a more side view of it instead of rear view?
