ID my cory

A few weeks ago, I bought these corys from the LFS labeled as C. virginae . They are definitely not that species. I've been asking around online trying to get an ID, but no luck so far. Does anyone here recognise them? My best guess is C157 but I would not put money on it (the middle fish in the top...

Re: Corydoras Eques setup

Your fish look lovely. Such a pretty species. Hopefully they will have babies for you!

Happy to see you posting here. You disappeared from the other forum, and with Covid about and what not, you just don't know.

CW006

Has anyone ever bred CW006? If so, what were your conditions? There are no breeding reports on this website, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

I have a small shoal that show brief moments of appearing to think about it, but nae luck yet.

Re: Plants for high flow pleco breeding tank

Got myself a couple crypts today. I'll see how they handle the tank. I'll give root tabs a shot. I've been putting Seachem Flourish Comprehensive into all my tanks with water changes. Do some plants prefer root tabs? I have a big longfin Ancistrus in my 240L tank, but she doesn't dig holes with the ...

Re: Plants for high flow pleco breeding tank

Thanks for all the suggestions! @Narelle, The temperature is 25/26C. I have a sand substrate and in addition to the four plecos, the other inhabitants of the tank are C. pygmaeus, C. habrosus, a couple C. carlae, Aspidoras spilotus, two bamboo shrimp, and two vampire shrimp. I'm running a Fluval Aqu...

Plants for high flow pleco breeding tank

As above, really. I have a lot of current in my L199 tank and plants are struggling. Tried vallisneria, which I'd seen suggested for high flow tanks, but it's not doing as well as I'd hoped. I have very soft water, and apparently that's an issue with some species of val? I have no idea what variety ...

Temp for breeding L199

I have a small colony of young L199s who I am hoping will breed once they mature. The internet is offering conflicting information on what temperature this species prefers, so I figured I would ask the experts here. PlanetCatfish and SeriouslyFish species profiles suggests they like it cooler than o...

Re: Creating ideal conditions for L260

I have a plan in place to shift some fish around and a powerhead that might arrive in the post at some point.

Which shoaling or mid/upper level species would you keep with those plecos?

Re: Creating ideal conditions for L260

Paranoia, mainly. I'm sure they're feeding at night, as the shrimp pellets I'm dropping at night are always gone, and my otos can't do that much damage to the courgettes I put in. I'm running three tanks now, but the apistos and killis can't be moved to the others. One is designed around the L187b (...

Creating ideal conditions for L260

First post on the forum. Last week, I got an L262 and an L260. They share a 125L Fluval Roma tank with three otocinclus, three female apistogramma borellii, and five lyretail killifish. The temperature is 25 degrees, and I live in a soft water area. The plecos remain incredibly shy, although I think...
