I'd say a standard, but very nicely coloured male Bolivian Ram. Looking at the reply from jams in this post, the male in the comparison photo is similar to yours. Is your 2.5"-3" total length (including tail)?
Thanks

Re: Treating Planaria infestation in L number Catfish Tanks
Hi
Do you have any other fish in the tank? You could introduce (if only temporarily) mollies, bettas, angelfish, all are known to eat planaria in the aquarium. But as Eric says, reduce feeding and/or hoover out the leftovers/waste more often.

Re: What woodcats are being bred by pc members?
I know the original author of this post (Marc van Arc) kept the same species, though pretty sure he's no longer present on PC. Please do share any photos or video, but be aware not everyone agrees with feeding live fish. I fully appreciate it can be the only option in some cases, but totally accept ...

Re: What woodcats are being bred by pc members?
@Catfish-ologist - good luck with the Tetranematichthys wallacei - be interested to find out how you do with these as they can sometimes be difficult to maintain in aquaria. I had one many years ago that lasted for little over a year, then died for no apparent reason, even though it was feeding regu...

Thanks for responding. Hopefully the Tatia galaxias has darkened up and look like the photos in the Cat-eLog. Hopefully you managed to get at least one M/F pair?

@catfish-ologist - do you have any photos of your T.galaxias? I've seen them for sale so many times but they have always been T.intermedia, so would be great to know they can be found! Though appreciate you're in the US!

Corydoras Links in Species Kept
Not really a bug per se, but was looking through the fish I've previously kept, and noticed the following - only seems to apply to Coydoras, but whilst hovering over the name correctly shows the image, and clicking the link does work, the purple 'link' doesn't cover all the text: Kept.JPG Just thoug...

Found this at the bottom of my bits and pieces box. I used to work with Gina Sandford and knew Mike as well as this came from them many many moons ago! Brachysynodontis batensoda That is really cool. I had no idea you knew the Sandfords. They disappeared off the scene around the time I started but ...

Yes it’s metal, brass coloured, and I think painted. There was, if I remember correctly, a set but I can’t remember which others were included.

I wouldn't suggest pencil fish, but go for the deeper bodied fish such as the phantoms (red/black), diamond or red eye tetras. Smaller tetras and pencil fish can be known to sleep on the gravel, making easy for predation.

Difficult to be sure from the photo, but almost definitely a hybrid. A photo in the tank with normal lighting would help confirm.

Re: gulper catfish
Hello all. I just got myself a gulper catfish yesterday. I got silversides and tilapia to feed the little guy. He's currently 4" and is in a 40 gallon tank for now. I tried to feed him/her but it doesn't seem to want to eat. Any suggestions? Hi Was it eating when you bought it? If so, what was...

Re: Iquitos Rio Nanay fish settling into new tank
I was feeding them a variety of frozen, freeze dried, and live foods, and various flakes. Sadly, I'm not convinced the Tetranematichthys ever really ate much, as they all withered slowly and eventually died. Conversely, the Ancistrus and Batrochoglanis are growing well. Cheers, Eric Sad to hear...I...

Sorry not everything made it but what did is a great selection! I have kept Tetranematichthys wallacei in the past, a really interesting fish! What are they feeding on?

Re: Is this L471 Pleco
There are several black with white/yellow spotted type 'plecos', and I'm definitely no expert but do know a photo of the mouth (from underneath) can help as the shape of the teeth is a useful identification feature.

Re: Tatia Galaxias
I've often seen Tatia galaxias advertised, and has always been Tatia intermedia, which yours look like, though intermedia is a complex of species, so not sure which one!
Still a great fish, they take a variety of foods and can be quite active at feeding time.
Enjoy!

Firstly, welcome to PlanetCatfish! Sorry to hear you're having problems. Can you confirm we are talking about the same fish? Hypancistrus debilittera ? What's your water temperature? Have you tested the water for levels of Nitrite/Ammonia/Nitrate? Have you been back to the store to see how their fis...
