Hi Karsten,
What do you think about this one? @Shane collected the ones he photographed in Venezuela - not sure exactly where.

I kept a group for about 5-6 years about 20 years ago. Sounds like I need to write that up! I didn't breed them, but they were fun and easy to keep.

Re: l134 in a rimless tank?
How close is the water level to the rim? 2" or so would mean the fishes are very unlikely to exit. There are other factors like how settled they are etc. Generally, plecos don't jump, but environmental factors can make most fish jump. Or consider non-pleco benthic species like Bunocephalus or C...

Hi Eric,
I'm not seeing this - could you make sure you do a hard browser cache refresh and just check it's your browser hasn't cached something funky?

Hi Halvard, Thanks for posting the new pics. I'm sorry to be so pedantic (and I know it's a pain) but is there any chance you could flip horizontally all the Peckoltia pictures so they face the left? I'd do it myself but your logo / watermark is, in most cases, not going to look good when I flip a s...

Re: Can't upload new picture
It could be a bug, or it could be the browser not displaying the new image due to a caching issue. Can you try uploading the new picture again and let me know when it's done?

Hi Eric,
Thanks for reporting, I think I've fixed this one. I can only be 100% sure when adding a n. sp. - so perhaps we can both keep our eyes peeled!

Jools

You kind of need to go back to the magazine articles of the time. And perhaps the Aqualog book. Articles are here: https://www.planetcatfish.com/shaneswor ... +l-numbers

Re: Are these L136C or L136B ?
L136C's origins are not a tank-raised strain.
It was introduced/promoted by Aquarium Glaser / Aqualog for grading wild-caught fishes based on spot size several years after the introduction of A and B 30 years ago in DATZ.

Re: Error when editing species page.
Thanks Balaji, I tried various things with the type locality and it all worked fine. Then I figured out the error is caused by removing one or both of the zeros in the default Type Location Latitude or Longitude fields. I think perhaps this is what you did too? Anyway, I've changed it so if that hap...

Re: Error when editing species page.
Hi Balaji, Bad news I'm afraid. I copied and pasted that into a data sub and it worked. The co-ords (long hand, 28°09'00.0"N 95°00'00.0"E) have got apostrophes as opposed to quotes in them and I thought that might be the problem but no. I had previous ensured that would be translated and w...

In my view 5-6" if you want to breed them faster. Smaller ones would allow you to buy a larger group likely still for less money and let them grow out and pair off.
