a mix in a group of bumblebee cats

Re: Feeding Liosomadoras oncinus
I just pulled in my 5 fellas, 3 adults and 2 juvies. They sure got too thin over the summer in the ponds, now they're currently pounding anything I'm putting in the tank, flake food, earthworm sticks, even brine shrimp that they turned up their noses on when I first got them in. Now they're total di...

GCCA swap plecos/cats for 9/18 in Elk Grove
Am working on getting rid of the number of species I have on hand to narrow down what I want to truly work with. Those are for the swap meet. If they're still available after the swap, I am possiblity interested in trying to ship them out. L066 – 60 each, 120 for a pair or 150 for all 4 Taken back i...

Re: WTB L260 Queen Arabesque Plecos
I'm selling a WC L260 male for $150 he's $125 at the GCCA swap meet on the 18th if you can come up and pick him up by then. The swap will be in Elk Grove, IL though. I don't know whereabouts in IN you're from. I can also meet/deliver if you really want this fella for gas money only. 4'' male from he...

Re: FS-L183 Starlight Bristlenose Plecostomus
I got them from a seller in Florida along with other fish. I will try to post pictures tonight as I need to sex them anyways. :d My plan is to keep them with the Jaguar Catfish and I just read somewhere Ancistrus Dolichopterus is sometimes MisID'd so I better do some Photo OP and get back to you on ...

Re: FS-L183 Starlight Bristlenose Plecostomus
The reason I'm asking is because when I pulled them out, I swear the white tips became more bluish than when they were smaller. I'm still looking at those fellas and they got the blue tint to the white tips still. Some are half the size of the biggest ones. So go figure yes they put up with the craz...

Re: FS-L183 Starlight Bristlenose Plecostomus
AND it put me to shame that I didn't treat my group with such a reverence this summer. I put them in the pond, the temperature was 62 degrees when I pulled them out yesterday. They doubled in size and If I KNEW they were fetching for those prices, I would have been keeping them indoors. 7 of them ar...

I never lost any of mine when I ordered 25pcs before. But over time, I lost males due to competition with each other but that's a different issue.

My gosh. I can't imagine having that type of patience working on this forever. I can't imagine scouring through the rocks/etc and trying to put it all together. Pure genius. I would have loved to spend a hour in the bathroom with the candle and just watch the colors pop out with the flame dancing. J...

Re: Breeding Challenge-Moth Cats
Still have lucked out on locating them whenever Im ordering or in stores.
Right now I might have a better luck when I figure out which shrimps to order, tend to be in the same vendor list as the haras.
but I'm still up for that challenge once I locate em whenever that happens lol
Cheers

labeled as "amur" or "bumble bee catfish"
Hi there: Was wondering what kind of catfish this guy really is. This always has been on my mind on IDing this catfish. IT's been up for sale for a quite while locally. http://images.craigslist.org/3k93pf3la5O05W65P0b6lbcb0423c4ffc1b10.jpg my doubt about it being a "amur" is that its slope...

UPDATE: all species listed are still available. What I'm looking for is: Reasonable cash offers. Mature L204s, I also have someone else locally looking for a mature male L204 and if you want cold hard cash, I'll refer you to him or can just buy him myself outright, but I do prefer to get rid of some...

Natural hybridization, that could be a possiblity. Would be interesting to see the L046xL201 offspring and what is recessive/dominant genes ha. Thanks guys! I'll keep one for now and keep easy to grow plants that's doesn't demand intensive lighting. I'll stick with the 10,000k if its more crisp as I like that type of lighting myself.

Really need to reduce the number of hypans right now Have L260 WC male L270 reverse trio, believe one still have ways to go. Maybe I should hold out and wait til later on in the Fall to see the prices on the new stands, but a shelf would do for now. Probably would be plugging it in by the end of next week as I really just can't wait to plug it in and see how insane it looks in the room I'm planning on putting it in. I'll ...

Re: Safe to ship catfish in breather bags?
I think the breather bags are more flexible or am I dreaming? Tho I've not had a seller ship me a catfish or any other fish in a breather bag, as I think they're more pricy per bag than a plastic one. But I have brought a batch of breather bags and sold the fish at the swap meets in the past, it wor...

Re: suggestions 4 smaller pleco that doesn't stay in hiding
I'm not sure about Royals as when I had them they were the average pleco I'll spot everyday in my tank. But the clowns I never see only once in a while. For the most outgoing plecos- it depends on the species and how many of that species or others you got in that tank- its really the combination as ...

Re: 29G biocube suggestions?
I can't bring myself to order a pricy stand for that amount of money when the tank itself was only a fraction of that price. Think I'll just find something else to use instead and just wait til the alternative stand comes around. Now its L046 or one of the L066 pair once I get the stand situation fi...
