My L52 and L204 seem to stay away from my plants (my L264 is another story). They are attractive and stay within your requested size range. The only issue though is that they prefer warmer water. I keep mine at 78 degrees F; the catelog temperature range lists a minimum of 75 degrees.

My sultan L264 appears to also prefer hikari wafers over other food. I've fed Tetra wafers with the algae center, and before my addition of L204s (emperor flash), only the outer "non-veggie core" would be eaten. I guess preference for hikari wafers should not be a surprise considering the ...
