The only advantage of liting the keepers in order of duration (or perhaps amount of fish kept) would be to be able to PM the keeper found. However, the keeper can be inactive on PC, or have forgotten to note he no longer has them Besides, I think these questions should be put on the forum. A because...

Afaik, only Brasilian is based on Portugese; all other languages are based on Spanish. Besides these were Peruvian lists, so there was no need to check a Portugese dictionary. This is true, but, on the other hand, in parts near the border with Brasil in Uruguay, the only SA contry I know a bit abou...

I never heard of people jusing garlic oil in a tank, but, frankly, thinking of it, I have heard about people using garlic for their fishes. Itch is something which does not stay with the fish, it laeves the fish, and moulds ioudside it, but it is nearly impossible to get rid of. However, healthy fis...

I guess you better do some waterchanges for the goldfish, it is obviously not happy with its water

Besides I would suggest you either refrain from P pictus (and many other species) or reread the above and provide them with an adequate sized tank before getting others

Most Hoplo's can stand quite warm temps. They come from seasonal waters, where the rely on their secundaire breating in the dry season. However, they do need some water still.

Perhaps they can survive 35 degrees, perhaps slightly more, but i would not try that warm

The species will be C trilineatus, often sold as C julii. however, I think they need to put on some length before one can sex them: they have now the slimness of males, and the short fins of females.

In due time this might change considerably

I'm not certain whether my big Pimelodus is a blochi, but i got 3, and after 6 months I had 1 left. They were housed in a 180 cm tank (that is 6 feet) so the most likely explanation fior the 2 deads was agression. In general it is very hard to say how long a virus can survive. Some virusses can withstand a lot, others not. Personally I would not worry too much, because on the one hand the virus did come froms somewhere, indicating you most likely had a source somehere near your house, and on the other hand vi...

I would think renaming sp (4) into (3) causes an enormous lot of confusion.

Perhaps keeping sp (3) as a synonym for the new name, and keeping sp (4) as such / thus a new sepecies will become sp(5) would be amore practical approach

can't you get some gyuppies or so? producing tiny little fish, small enough to be eaten by them?

You could also tyr convict cichlids, in a seperate tank, siphoning the fry as soon as it's swimming

The fish as depicted is Gyroncheilus ammonerie, NOT a catfish, but related to carp.

When young, they do eat algea, but after a while - around 3 inches, they will start to prefer a more carnivorous diet. They might even disturb larger fishes, such as discus
