Why is Planet catfish website showing a red x on menu bar
Does any one know what setting I have to change on my system to show the proper menu bar at the top of the Planet catfish website. I have Windows XP with Internet explore 6.0. The menu bar shows up as a red x.
Thanks

If you have a pond outside in the ground and not above ground in Ft Worth the temperature in the worst winters will get down into the forties and possibly upper thirties if any extended cold period. What you can do is create a cover for it to insulate it and then heat it with various heaters. Heatin...

Hi Erwin, thanks for the photos. The one I purchased looks more like the juvenile with large white dots. It currently is around 5 to 6cm but with a blacker background, I'm guessing this has a lot to do with the mood of the L133. Do you know if anyone has tried breeding these and what source would yo...

How do you tell the difference between L133, L248 and LDA33
How do you physically and visually tell them apart? It seems to me that LDA 33 and L248 are so similar. L133 appears to have more defined spines on the body from the pictures.

Thanks everyone. Great ideas. I may end up trying to find a used or cheap UPS to power up only air pumps to maintain aeration. I have seen instructions on building high capacity, heavy duty UPS's (uninterruptible power supplies) on the cheap, out of marine batteries. I can dig them up if you like. R...

Skyetone, In the past I've kept S. planiceps but after several years it got tobe around 24 inches and I decided to donate to the local public a...

Keeping a group of M. Tigrinus together
Has anyone tried putting a group of Tigrinus together in a tank. Will they fight? Are they extremely territorial? or has anyone mix a Tigrinus with other large pred. catfishes with success.

Hi Dean, From what I know they probably can grow to 3 feet in the wild. I personally have kept one that was 28 inches. I purchased it at that size. I believe there is a picture of mine in the photo section. It was kept in a 180 gallon( 2 ft X 2ft X 6ft). In captivity I'm not sure what size they can ...
