Re: T. Intermedia woodcats
I feed heavily with frozen Blood worms, NLS cichlid pellets, Freeze dried tubiflex worms etc, and you will see the females fill with eggs. I also observe more chasing between my group and then start with water changes. I change about 20-25% per day for about 1 week and then spawning usually occurs. ...

Re: T. Intermedia woodcats
Great looking fish. I have had about 6 batches of lots of eggs from mine in the last 12 months and they are really fun. I have sold a bunch locally and have around 30 fry at the moment in a 20G long and feeding time is truly a frenzy. Good luck with them.

How would you heat small fish room?
Hi Everyone, I have a small fish room, about 10ft x 6ft and am done with in tank heaters! How would you heat the room? The room is in the basement, concrete floor, well insulated walls and ceiling. Looking for something easy that I can set and forget! I've looked at small electric fan heaters, oil f...

Re: My woodcats finally spawned!!!
Hi, I have bred them a few times earlier this year and once they start to spawn, it is difficult to stop them! I remove the eggs and put them in an egg basket and once they hatch and are free swimming, then feed them very small floating food. I have added a breeding report and a couple videos of the...

Re: New Cory eggs while out of town (hybrid)!
My Tatia Intermedia just laid eggs 3 weeks ago and these look just the same! They look to be in a cluster, almost like frogs eggs.
They should hatch in 3-4 days and then be free swimming 3-4 days after that.
Good luck with them.

Re: Water parameters for breeding.
Interesting discussion.
I also put my tap water aside for 24hrs before using it, primarily to let it warm up a little and let most of the chlorine evaporate out. Im not sure that it does anything more than that, but I'd like to understand if it does?

Sexing Tatia Intermedia
Hello Everyone. I just got a group of 5 Tatia Intermedia and they are doing very well. Eating like pigs and doing everything that they should!! It does not seem too difficult to sex them on paper, but doing it in the tank is really difficult! They do NOT stop moving! So my question is, how do you gu...

Hi, Amazing set of spawns, the fish must be in top condition. Id be interested in water conditions/feeding regime? If you do decide to ship, please let me know as I would be interested in some of your offspring. Happy to take the risk with some of them at the kind of prices that you are asking for. ...

Hi
Ive done this for Rhaphiodon using tweezers but had to start by attaching the dead food onto a thread first. It takes some patience but is well worth it once you have them eating dead....

Hi Don't have much to offer here as I dont keep large L's at the moment, however I had to get outside my "comfort" zone to breed some cory's and do larger water changes with cooler water than I was used to! When I did that, they responded well and spawned :) If we think about a river in SA...
