Looks like a good ID to me. What did you think it alternatively might be?

Cheers,

I think they are electricus. But Shopper said that they were “sp” and can’t be concluded as “electricus”. So I need your help!

I'm still pretty sure of the ID. There are several new(ish) species of Malapterus, but most are not exported. Do you know which part of Africa they came from?

There are other Malapterus 'sp' that look similar to M electricus, like Malapterurus barbatus a catchment location or country of export would be a help in narrowing down which species your catfish is.
I bought a self-help tape the other day.
It was called "How to handle disappointment."
When I opened the box, it was empty. :YMTONGUE:

Upper one’s location is unknown. The others are from Nigeria.

I can see new information (to me) is that these are not all the same individual fish. Caudal fin pattern is an important help with ID as well as location as Medaka says.

For me, the top one in the image is M. electricus. The other two, if they are different, then we need to see more pictures of the whole fish.

Hope that helps,
