Hi!

Well you are lucky to have some Corydoras zygatus

You tell them apart by seeing where the bronze line finish at the caudal fin, if it fifnish just at the joint of the upper and lower plate it is c. zygatus and if it cross and end up at the very bottom of the lower plate it is C. rabauti!

Enjoy them, They are so great Cory!

Cheers

Yann!!!

I'ts like an epiphany! I've always thought them to be rabauti and the orange on the head is starting to show quite strongly. The orange patch has always seemed more obvious in pictures of rabauti compared to zygatus. Well, to me at the very least.

I'm undecided! Heheh ... and it's kinda weird for me coz I've always had the thought that they were rabautis!

care to check out the enlarged pics?

Yann!!!!!!!!!!1

you don't say!!!! they are zygatus!!! Woah! I always thought they were rabuati ... in fact ... almost everyone thought they were rabauti!!!! Until yesterday someone commented that they were actually zygatus ... I was surprised!

I have them for 15 days now. They're still quite small ... probably about 3cm, not very active compared the the trilis & the pandas in the same tanks who think they are surfer dudes. no significant growth, though one of them is larger than the rest. Are yours quite quiet as well? With them being quiet and no significant growth ... I'm kinda worried. Should I be?

cheers

Hi!

Well I found mine here in switzerland in a shop, they were labelled as Corydoras metae and were sold for 5£ each. The female were about 6.5-7cm long and male around 5.5-6 cm long... so did not really have the chance to see them growing up!

I do not found them to be less or more active than any other Corydoras...

Corydoras are not like cichlids, you can't see them putting length within a week or two , wel except maybe when really young (fry), they will grow don't worry ( if you provide good food, water quality, and regular water change)

Cheers

Hi!

Is that cheap or expensive for you guys??

Here such price is really cheap!! Usually uncommon Cory are sold more likely around 15£
Not so common such as C. trilineatus and C. panda are sold around 8-10£!!!

These beauties were a must take for me!
I bought all 8 of them!!!
And never regret it!!!!
