??? Synodontis type ???

Post by ToxicWolf666 »

Just picked up a batch of synodontis that a local shop had labeled as mystery synodontis. They look really cool so I couldn't help it. I wish I knew all my synodontis types but long story short I am having a hard time finding out what type they are! Can someone help please it would be greatly appreciated

Looks like they could be young eupterus bearing baby coloration pattern.

That's what I thought at first but their eyes seem to be smaller than eupterus, the dorsal fin isn't as large either, and the pattern seems to be off as well. They had gotten in some eupterus the same size a day they looked completely different it had similarities.
Is it possible they could be a cross with eupterus and another??

Young Koensis?
Problem with so many syno is the hybrids make it so hard to tell, and there are so many nice hybrids. Don't see many Koensis about though.

Not koensis...not tourei...
Not serpentis...the humerals are wrong for those...I had heard there is some of serpentis around.

This is not anything anything I would recognize.

I would suggest raise em up and see what they turn into...then come back.

Is there any idea where they came from? Wild or other??

To me they look like juvenile congo type of syno.
