Was told he’s a type of Synodontis when I got him at my local pet store? If so which one does anyone know?

I can only address that it is not a Synodontis.

I haven't a clue at the moment. Not a Tachysurus. Not a bumblebee catfish. How big is the fish?

He’s (I assume as he has a white thing under him like a male part lol) about 8 inches long roughly
