Corydoras ID pls
Corydoras ID pls
Recent purchase coming from A.Glaser who call it CF Pulcher (as opposed to C.Pulcher). Others have said it is CW028 (common name: Super Schwartzi). Any thoughts?

Re: Corydoras ID pls
I'm inclined toward , but might be a possibility. In CW028, the two lines of black on the body flanks are bold solid lines. Also, CW028 develops a very high dorsal fin with a bright white dorsal spine. In C. schwartzi, the black lines on the body flanks are more clearly a series of parallel spots; the dorsal fin is shorter and the dorsal spine can vary from unpigmented (hyaline color) to white.
If the fish aren't full grown, the color pattern may change some (meaning the right ID might change), but I doubt that will prove necessary.
Cheers,
Eric

Thx for the input. Posted on Corydoras World and response from Ian Fuller was also CW028. I guess A.Glaser got them mixed up this time.

Re: Corydoras ID pls
Cw028 has been suggested to be related to pulcher, possibly a localized subgroup. That explains the Aquarium Glaser statement. However, since pulcher is lineage 8 and cw028 is lineage 9, that can't be true.
