Black bumblebee catfish?

This guy came in with a shipment of similarly sized asian bumblebee's. He's impossibly tiny and hard to get a photo of. Initially I thought maybe a bullhead or channel but the more I stare the more he really just looks like my other bumblebee but her black. He's got long distinctly white whiskers too. Nothing like a bullhead or channel.

As it’s presumably Asian my best guess would be a of some sort.

Howdy neighbor, the head and mouth shape and the long barbels indeed give away a Hemibagrus to me too. The Asian bumblebees don't have long barbels as far as I recall... and their mouths are more pointy and less wide versus this guy's.

So I guess and this point I'll let him grow until I can figure out which specie's in that genus is. Seems like odds are he'll outgrow my 75.

Sounds like a plan. Location of the collection, time, and/or good pictures should help with an ID to those versed in this genus, such as Silurus, who is the ichthyologist that last revised it.

I was able to get a video and he's been properly id'd as Hemibagrus Wyckioides. I'm definitely paying for this choice but I'm going to be setting up a small pond for him indoors while I try and find him a home.

We could take him in as we run a Public Aquarium and Fish Rescue.

We had grown a big wyckioides for a few years but for some inexplicable reason lost it last year at 3' and about 5 years old:
