Unidentified “prehistoric” catfish

These guys came into my distributor in a shipment from Peru. They’re calling them “prehistoric catfish” and have no clue on actual species. Any insight would be great! This one is currently around 6”

Oxydoras niger

While they’re very similar to Oxydoras niger, O.niger is generally identified differently by the exporters in South America. These arrived in a shipment alongside O.niger but identified as a different fish. They do have the lighter body and darker fins that are noted in the species info for O.niger as O.sifontesi. Possibly sifontesi?

At that size O. sifontesi is much lighter (with a bit of a brownish hint especially on light gravel) - I wouldn't put much stock in what exporters call fishes.
