It could be , but I can't even tell for sure if it's a Tatia from those pictures. If you had pictures showing the shape of the caudal fin it would help.

Also, where in Ecuador was is collected or exported from?

Cheers,

Jools

I will take the picture when I change the woter in my tank.

And,this tatia is not corrected but exported from Ecuador.

There don't appear to be any known Auchenipterids found in Ecuador...

According to GBIF, there are many collections of Auchenipterids in Ecuador. Of course, the IDs might be wrong. And also of course, some of these names were recently reorganized.

Hello tatiaman,

If you ever get better photos we can be more help on the identification. But for now, we can help with the English: You mean this fish was "collected" (instead of corrected). And when you say "secondary product", we would say they are "by-catch" collected with the Corydoras aeneus.

Cheers, Eric

I too at first thought it was similar to , but it looks more akin to
I ‘Doc I can’t stop singing The Green, Green Grass of Home’
“That sounds like Tom Jones syndrome.
‘Is it common?’
“It’s not unusual.” :YMTONGUE:
