Synodontis grandiops or multipunctatus?

Post by jcover »

Hi all, I have a group of 8 Synodontis. I've owned them for 2 years now. When I first got them, they were 1.5". Now, they are approx 5" in length.

They were sold to me as Synodontis multipunctatus, but I have my doubts about this. I think they are likely grandiops. What does everyone else think based on the attached picture? I tried my best to get a photo of the pectoral fins to count the rays.. but they wont stay still!
