Thanks Eric, I'll get a better look at them this week (in person). How rare are Copei? What should a price range be? I would want to pick up 6 to 10.

Thanks again

Hi Gary,

I don't know if they're that rare, but they certainly aren't common. If you can get them for less than $10 a piece, that's probably a good deal, considering that my LFS will often sell trilineatus for $8 each (which I think is high).

To be clear, I'm not certain they are copei. Your fish are definitely lineage 9. They are spotted and they have a large black blotch near the top of the dorsal fin, but not a black streak up the dorsal spine. Also, they lack the midbody horizontal lines of typical trilineatus.
Plus, obviously they have a striped tail. Those are the traits I looked at. However, I must say their head/body shape does not look typical for a trilineatus type of cory, so there are a few other species, and C and CW numbers, which have generally the same color patterns but distinctively different bodies/heads (e.g., low body, small head, etc). But copei would be my first guess.

Best, Eric
