Are these L397? Hard to get better pictures since they are in a furnished tank.

The photos are not really sufficient, but superficially I'd say it's possible. How large are the fish? Can we get a close up photo of the facial pattern and fins?

Cheers, Eric

Will try, they are small, around an inch or so maybe a tad bit larger. Guess I will just have to fish a couple of them up or wait till they are larger to be sure.

Also I have realised I posted in wrong forum section but alas it is what it is.

Thanks!

Could this pic be of any help to possibly give a stronger indication? I have a really hard time catching good pics of them since they are pretty shy/skittish(they are out and about but not if I move towards the tank), and my camera+skills to use the same are lacking, in some months I am moving so guess ill just take a plethora of pictures then! ;) This one is around two inches maybe.

Thanks for all helpful answers!

If it's small (about 1.5") then yes L397.

Reading through some old threads about the care of them and realise I should probably go on some wood hunt today, anybody wanna comment on if birch is a suitable type? Might be I can find some that's already in the water since I know there are beavers in a place quite close by. Of course as much as waste as they already produce the wood that's in there might be ok but I wan't to give them the best enviorment I can, and then the long journey of seeing them grow hopefully begins!
