Can someone identify my pleco?

Post by weaver »

Got this pleco 2 days ago, I need help identifying her! At the moment she is 5 inchs long and a year old.
She also has some damaged fins due to her jumping out of her past tank.

Any help is appreciated with identifying her.

Welcome to Planetcatfish!

Your pleco is one of the common plecos of the genus Pterygoplichthys. Probably Pterygoplichthys pardalis or Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus.

Cheers,
