Yes, but the reason I never fixed it was I actually thought it was . In my view the picture should be moved to that species, the common name moved and the species entry used for something else.

I think Daniel (@Acanthicus) added the species/pic and also @Shane collected a bunch of these - so it would be worth getting their input first. The DATZ article introducing this l-number makes no mention of literature checked and this was one introduced by DATZ in their "lets give a bunch of plecos from Colombia that have been imported for years an l-number as we're running a bit short on new ones from Brazil" phase.

Cheers,

Hi,

that was me, right. I thought I would have fixed that with the name....sorry for that. The picture is not brilliant I know, but the only one I had at the moment. It´s the same fish like in here: http://www.l-welse.com/reviewpost/showp ... 10/cat/all

I did not check further sources for the ID but it looked quite like L 449, which doesn´t mean it can´t be H. plecostomoides. I don´t have that issue here right now, because I moved some time ago. Those l-numbers of the issue have indeed been quite "unusual", negatively unfortunately.

You can rename it, but leave the further investigation to me.

Cheers
