New tanks arrived!

Post by Shane »

My Christmas presents arrived. Two 30 x 12 x 6 acrylic tanks (76.2 x 30.5 x 15.24cm). Beer bottle for scale. These will be tanks for raising fry on the lowest shelf of my racks.

I guess they are 10 gallon longs? :-D Nice!!

Framed acrylics? I don't see that very often. May I ask how you made that choice?

Lol Eric. Yes the 10 long! They were custom made and, like you, I was surprised they came with rims. That said, the rim size is exactly the same for a 20 long. Since I have several extra 20 long lids it could not have worked out better. Should be great fry grow out tanks.

Thanks for the explanation. I've pondered custom making 20-gal breeders - basically a square (or nearly so, the dimensions of two standard 10 gals side by side) = 20 x 20 x 12 = 20 gal.

Maybe one day. :-D

Enjoy your tanks and your fry.

Cheers, Eric
