Which pleco is best?

Hi all,
I have a 64 litre / approx 20 gallon tank with 6 guppies, 5 tetras, 6 balloon mollies and 3 amano shrimp. We're looking to add a pleco to finish the tank off.
We have a large piece of driftwood and other plants in the tank.
Which would be the best pleco to suit our small community tank that wouldn't outgrow it?
Thanks in advance :d

If you want an aglae eating plecos then get a rubber lips or a bushy/bristle nose. Both stay under 6in and will keep the tank in control.
If just for decoration a L104 Clown would be good. These stay under 4in and eat wood almost exclusively so you would need to keep wood in the tank.

It depends on how long you've been keeping fishes I'd say. For this tank, given the fishes, I'd go for a common . Should be able to get one under a tenner.

I think it really depends on your filtration and maintenance routine. With good filtration and weekly water changes I think you could add an Ancistrus as Jools recommended. If the tank is under filtered, and you tend to let water changes slip, I would leave it like it is. At the general guidance of 1" of fish per gallon your tank is already full.

Thanks for your advice. We always do a partial water change of 15-20% every Saturday morning and regularly monitor the water quality so hopefully, it will be fine. Will take all your advice under consideration. Thanks

I'd go to 30% water changes weekly, if it were me.
