Hi,
I have a pair of L144 pleco. its currently in my cory tank.
i'd like to breed them. I also have 5 pieces L316 pleco which i want to breed.
will it be ok to breed them in same tank? I have a 75 gallon tank which now house the 5 pcs L316 pleco. will it be a good idea to move my L144 . will they be able to breed in same tank?
or will it be possible for L144 to breed in my cory tank which is a 35 gallon?
will male bristlenose be able to protect eggs from cories?
also what size do the caves have to be? i think my caves opening are too big right now?

Re: L316 and L144 pleco breeding?
Hi
They can be kept in the same tank, no risk of hybrids in this case. The so called “L 144“ will breed in both tanks, so you might want to split them up to avoid territorial fights between both species.
Good luck!

Re: L316 and L144 pleco breeding?
thanks My 75 gallon is bigger so i was thinking of moving them to the bigger tank, since both species are quite small. but one advantage of the 35 gallon is it gets morning sunlight, so that might give my bns more algae to munch on mmmm so hard to decide
i'm hoping to be able to breed them
