Retain the yellow in a yellow chubby

I think this is a cool looking pleco and am interested in acquiring .
My concern is that many grow drab in time. One of the vendors says he has a secret to keeping them yellow but will reveal only if you buy from them.
What’s the truth?

Never heard of any guarantee to prevent color change.

I heard about this from 2 sources already so I'm excited to see if it can be done.
Here are some of my mine, this one gets uglier every week! Just kidding!

I just had a pitch black yellow chubby turn almost all yellow! I'll post some pics once I see the little guy again! Probably 3 weeks.

This little guy was pitch black a few weeks ago.
