L397 & Apistos

Post by Toothy56 »

If I have clay pots with 1" openings for my apistos and if I introduce a couple of juvey L397s will they compete for cave space? They are going in my new 180 CustomAqaurium tank. So far stocked with 12 corys, 6 khuli loachs, 30 cardinals, 9 sunset rainbows,3 apistos and some zebras and harlequins. Looking to add some bushy nose plecos and L397. After that plan to get a group of blue and koi angels as the main attraction.

Hi Toothy56,

Yes they might compete when the L397 grow (but not so much now when the L397 are small). Provide lots of hiding places so that they don't compete.

Cheers, Eric
