Armoured Cat Fish

Post by SirHelm »

Hi All,

I have figured out what I want to do when I get my larger tank. I want to create a natural habitat around several armoured cat fish (thanks smiling syno). Question is what type of brazilan micro habitat should i create and what other cats can be found in that region that would fit into this habitat? Also are there any references I can check out?

Thanks

There are a couple of papers by Jan H. Mol on the reproductive ecology of Hoplosternum and Callichthys. Not exactly what you're looking for, but it's a start.
Email me off the forum if you think they may be useful to you.

SH,
I would be happy to help with ideas for Venezuelans or Colombian armored cats.
