My woodcats finally spawned!!!

Hello all, It has been a few months since I have posted because I have been very busy with my aquariums. Though today I woke up to my female Tatia intermedia circling around the tank. The only other time this has occurred was when she layed eggs once before. After thoroughly scanning the tank I found the eggs. A small clump in the back corner of the tank in the plants. Since I am new to spawning wood cats I would like to consult you for information.
My first question is are they fertile? It might be to early to tell since they were layed just a few hours ago. Second, if they happen to be fertile what should I do with the eggs? My understanding is to separate them from the parents. Also if you have any more advice please do share.
thanks, -- Sean

Congratulations! If they just spawned, you may not know yet if they are fertile. But infertile eggs will turn white over time. Even if yours do, don't throw them out until you're sure.

Yes separate the eggs in an egg tumbler or fry basket.

Good luck.

Hi,

I have bred them a few times earlier this year and once they start to spawn, it is difficult to stop them! I remove the eggs and put them in an egg basket and once they hatch and are free swimming, then feed them very small floating food.
I have added a breeding report and a couple videos of the young recently of my experiences with them which you might also find useful.
Please me know if I can be of any help what so ever.

Forgot to mention, your eggs do look fertile to me.

Update!
I moved the eggs into a 5 gallon tank last night I do not have an egg tumbler or a fry basket. They are on a small air stone. I would say they are fertilized I can now see the fry developing inside. I hope they continue breeding that would be a good problem to have. I will give you updates.
