Breeding L200 (Green Phantom) plecos

Post by Delano97 »

I have one male L200 at about 16cm and a female L200 at about 15cm. I want to know if anyone has bred them and what specifically i need to do to get them to breed. I have bred many Bristolnose plecos so i know the basics.
The tank has a nice water flow and lots of oxygen. I put in lots of smooth and some not so smooth rocks. They have 3 caves to choose from. The water is at 26°C. I do weekly water changes of about 25% - 30%. What els must i do?

Assuming you mean and not / you have one species and a pair - did you read the spawning reports? How do they compare to your set-up?

Cheers,

That's the thing everyone says something different and here on Planet Catfish there are no breeding reports. Where i am from they are very scares and not a lot of people know how to breed them.
