I have been asked by my LFS to see if someone can help to ID a pair of
Synodontis that have been brought in as part of a trade in,

Unfortunately these are hybrids...don't be fooled by people telling you it is a
or any other real species.
Out of personal interest what is the length of these fish?

Thanks for the ID Birger the fish are about 4inch.

It matches none of the 9 hybrids in the Cat-eLog, Birger. Not that that list is all-encompassing but just thought I'd point out. If we/you see a lot of these, maybe a new entry is warranted.

We could do that with permission from the owner of the images.
There has been a number of differing hybrids especially in the last year that look Tanganyikan, possibly combinations of different real species and usually tracked back to Eastern Europe.
I think I will link this with the hybrid syno thread.

I have no problems with the images being used, if required I could try and get something better to use.
