This announcement is to point out that the first version of the ?long on the drawing board? My Cats functionality is now online. The thinking behind this new feature is to allow forums users to link to the species in the Cat-eLog that they are keeping. Ultimately this will allow users to store their own thoughts on keeping and breeding species, record when and where they bought their fish, how they are being kept, notes and so on.

For now, you can add a species that you are keeping by going to that species page in the Cat-eLog and clicking the ?Add species? link at the top right of the page. This will link your forum ID with that species and begin the process of creating your own personal catfish species list.

At present, there are three other features.

1. You can also remove a species that you previously selected from your species list.
2. You can see what other people are keeping (also that you are keeping)
3. Your forum posts will link to your species list.

Look out for a lot more in this vein over the coming months.
