Watching a forum

Post by Silurus »

Jools or Rusty,

Is it possible to watch a forum and be informed of new posts much like the way you watch a topic you have posted to and are informed of replies?

Hi Heok Hee!

Philtre was refering to a click on...watch this topic for replies..bottom left when you are reading a topic. I haven't tried it yet. I think you know of that and were asking for a similar one for a forum not just a topic?

Hi Dave,

Oops, my fault. Yes,I was asking about a similar email notification when a new post is made to a particular forum, one that you can turn on and off much like the one for a thread.

Tim,

I was actually thinking more of being notified of new posts. I know what you can do to follow threads/topics you have participated in, but let us say that a new post is made in the "African Catfishes" forum. If I am a keen follower of the forum, I would want to know when new posts are being made without having to check in on the forum frequently, so my question is...is there a way to enable this feature for users?
