L021 = L023???

Post by MatsP »

Ok, so I've taken the L021 = L023 as it's written in the Cat-eLog, but looking at the pictures in the Datz L-number special, I feel the picture of L023 is much closer to than .

Anyone have a better explanation as to why a "gold spotted" fish is equivalent with a "chevron marked" one?

Hi Mats,

I don´t have the L-number special here, but probably you looked at the the picture of L 22 (P. joselimaianaus) instead of L 23?

The "original" L 23 looks like a P. pardalis. L 21 and L 23 are both locality varieties of P. pardalis.

Yup, Aqualog shows P. pardalis too. They must have used the wrong photo in the DATZ special issue.
