I always knew these as Hara hara or Moth Catfish, Stone Catfish?

Did your LFS label them as chocolate catfish? Sounds like a made-up name. Yes, I've seen and offered as anchor catfish and moth catfish.

Yes Eric that was what they were labeled as.
They seem a little too grey and black to be Erethistes jerdoni, perhaps E. hara?

I believe yours are E. jerdoni, based on how long the pectoral spines are. The CLOG says the long pectoral spines are distinctive of this species.

I am trying to figure out if they eat Malaysian Trumpet Snails.

There was a huge population in the quarantine tank they are in. Today I looked and there are a ton of empty shells...? :-??
