species of Trichomycterus?

Post by dmcat »

Hi All,
Just today I received 2 of these cats. I'd guess they are Trichomycterus but little is behind of this guess. Seller told me they are from Peru. My images are far from being good because I was not able to capture them showing full length (caudal fin is distorted because my jar has rounded corners - should get one with right corners! - so, I have a separate image of the caudal fin - hopefully when they are established I would be able to take some better pics of them). They are about 100 mm. I would greatly appreciate any ideas on genus and hopefully species.
Cheers,
DM

I'm sorry but I have no idea. No ID, but did remind me of these fellows at first but the eye position is wrong, so they can be discounted.

Ha! I didn't look that closely - appeared as Trichomyterus sp. Peru. I guess that's what I get for using social media...
