I've seen king tigers with washed out colors, but I can't tell if your fish is a king tiger or not from this photo. Can you get pics of the entire body, from side and above?

this is not even a Hypancistrus, but an Ancistomus/Peckoltia. A lateral pic would help to clarify though.

Reminds me of Peckoltia lujani, but, as said, better / more pictures would help.
