Following L-numbers easy/difficult to breed?

Post by Bonobo1 »

Thinking about getting some nice L-numbers and if possible breed them.. I like L-052, L-134,L-201 and L-397 the most so far.. I guess lots of people on this forum kept and breed these..Any of them considered easy /difficult to spawn?

Hi Bonobo1,

Welcome to Planetcatfish!

I keep all four of those species and breed all four. L201 and L397 are the easiest for me. I've had dozens of spawns with L052, but it is a challenge for many people because it appears to want lower pH (at least, I attribute that to my success. Mine are at pH 4-5). Many people have no trouble breeding L134, but mine have bred only once, and then stopped for three years.

If you're just starting, try L201 or L397.

Cheers, Eric

Hi Bonobo1,

Kind of a trick question IMO.... what might be easy for me to breed may not necessarily be easy for you to breed and vice versa. Off of the list you have the L397 and L201's should be the easiest ones to breed..... though I don't have the L52's to say. Like Eric my L134's have breed a couple times and stopped for years..... no idea why! Are you looking for a challange or something easy but not to easy to breed?
