Need advise/help with one female bristlenose

Post by squid »

Need help
With one of my bristlenose.
I noticed she's much paler than ny other bristlenose , but she is already that color when ingot her a few
Months ago. Does it look
Like there is something wrong with her? At this angle her head seems sunken?
What could be the cause? And how do i treat? She is in my community tank.

Sorry, I can't make it out from the pictures. The head area in front of the eyes does seem sunken. Is the belly concave? If so I'd suggest malnutrition.

Hi, a full body shot and a bottom/side shot could tell more about what shape is your fish in. But more importantly, is it active and eating?

Thanks:) i'll try to get aome
More pictures , she is active and seem to be looking for food.
I'm bot sure if the sunken appearamce is juat because of her color
Which is lighter than normal albino or there is something wrong with her.
Will it be a good decision to try to dose my tank with praziquantel?
I'll try to take more pictures of this female.

Given the clearer picture, I can't see anything wrong. The pink patches in front of the eyes looked sunken in the original pics but the better ones look normal as does the belly. I would leave it alone.

If you do treat it, for sure, move it to a quarantine tank first.
