Corydoras Breeding

Post by GreenAqua »

Hello, new here.

I’ve been keeping corydoras in tank for 5+ years. I’m am considering setting up around 6 tanks that will house a single species of corydoras to try and breed. Each tank will contain around 6 corydoras of that species. My question here is what tank size would be sufficient for this? They will be in these tanks long term as well. I was considering using 20 gallon longs as these will be the only fish in there I wouldn’t think that would be a problem.

Hello,
What species are you going to be keeping? that is important to know. I have bred in 5, 10, 15, 20 30 and 40 gallons depending on the species? Corydoras pulcher, robustus would need a 20 for a group of 6. Check the size of the species in this site and plan accordingly.
