29th March 2023 :: Server upgrade

Morning all,

Advance notice folks of a large scale changes to our server on the 29th.

We will begin work to modernize the server by moving to newer, more powerful hardware that uses lightning-fast NVMe drives (rather than traditional SSDs) for storage.
We will upgrade the operating system (for geeeks: Debian Stretch to Ubuntu Focal Fossa 20.04.)
We migrate 5.27 GB of memory and 158.10GB of disk space.
We upgrade the database (MySQL to v8).

As this involves a new server hostname and IP address, and a shiney new database, there is a risk there will be disruption but will plan to not have any - no downtime expected!

So far, the only issues spotted and not fixed are

1. Intermittent login issues - This has its own bug post which includes a workaround.

2. The hover over / clog tag feature doesn't work. This has its own bug post.
