Advice on a possible crossbreed

Post by -jeff- »

So I have a 20 high that houses two L066 and two L260. I had them all for about two years maybe a little less any way just started to do my usual water changes and noticed that my larger L066 was garding fry that look to be about a 3 weeks to a month old. So my question is what is the likelihood that they crossed or I just got lucky and have a pair ? And if th L066 and L260 did cross how long till I will know. That being sed I'm not a fan of hybrids but it would be cool to see how they turn out.

Hi -jeff-,

You'll know if they're hybrids when the fry start to grow and color up. Can you look at your two L066 and see if they're opposite or same sexes? If the same, then yeah, definitely you must have hybrids. But if you have M & F L066, then hopefully they prefer each other's company to that of some flashy little L260 "queen" hussy. :))

Cheers,
Eric
