Melanistius Corys?

Post by Cygrace724 »

Image]Only had 3 available at local shop and were labeled as Melanistius but the size of the female is throwing me off with how big she is, much bigger than other corys I’ve kept like Aeneus paleatus or metaes. Another shop has melanistius and delphax available to order but trying to be sure on what I have. I’ve read pattern in the tail can determine and these are spotted

That is delphax. Not brevirotris and not melanistius. Melanistius and brevirotris have smLler spots, short nose and more black. Delphax s often sold as melanistius while its not. Also delphax has like verticle striped melanistius and brevirotris don’t
