Looking for info on Corydoras pygmaeus....

Post by jread »

I just recently aquired 7 of these little guys and was wanting to find more info on them. I've been feeding them frozen baby brineshrimp (so small I can't tell if they're eating them) and crumbled shrimp pellets. What else is a good food for them?

I was also looking for information on breeding them. I've heard that they need sand for spawning. Is this true?

Thanks :)

Sorry  I don't know how to remove the other posts.

Corydoras pygmaeus are a mid water swimming species. The will eat all Corydoras fare as long as it is small enough to swallow. I feed live black worms but I chop them up first. C pygmaeus lay their eggs all over the tank and are not difficult to spawn. I've never heard anything about them needing sand to spawn.
