Cat-eLog categories lead us to Glossary

Post by Deb »

This may be an enhancement to come, rather than a bug, but at this time, when keywords on the side of a cat-eLog entry are clicked - such as Breeding, or Tankmates - we are directed to the glossary where these words are not defined.

Perhaps you are working on a link?
Thought I'd mention it.

And more interestingly, the "hits" entry on a clog will also lead to the glossary, which I'm 99% sure has no reason to go there... ;-)

Aha! Yes, the plan is to have these entries in the glossary and so then the page will go there. The hits one is to go there so I can explain a bit about how hits are calculated.

However, due the me starting on the FAQ V2, some of the stuff (such as hits) might be better in the FAQ. I am not sure.

On the general stuff, I will post in the glossary topic about getting stuff added.

Cheers,

*bump*

This one really needs Amanda to add these terms to the glossary...

If I'm reading the above correctly, I'm going to define the following terms: Breeding, Tankmates and any other pertinent terms in the Cat-eLog. I'll add these terms to the glossary. If so, I'll head off to the Cat-eLog and find the most often used words that I thought had an "implied understanding." (Shame on me for thinking that.) After that, I get a little confused. I've been slightly dense of late.

Have you written up about the "hits" for the FAQ yet?

Now that I finally had the time to look at the Cat-eLog, I feel totally daft! So, "hits" will go into the FAQs. Will "offsite resources","cool links" and "references?"

I think it'd be better to have them in the glossary, no? After all, isn't a glossary meant to explain the terms encountered elsewhere in the book, web site etc?

This is up for discussion, but I think this is the simplest solution.

I will move this off to the resolved forum now as the main glossary topic has picked this up.
