That wouldn't work because U in the cipher text would have to map to both M and L in the plain text.
Similarly E in the plain text would need to represent both R and F in the cipher text.

There are various schemes whereby that could result, but not with this one.

All I was thinking was anagram+ some +/- formula and taking a guess at the first double nine-letter fish I could think of.

The cipher is a very old one.
In fact, one eminent Roman would recognise it instantly.

Good one but I'm running out the door to work - just for a laugh, my first set came out as a new species Eoxyedora exyptieus.... Need an alphabetical slide rule to make it faster.

I can see how it might profit Otocinclus to mimic Corydoras, but Corydoras mimicking other Corydoras ?
