Sweet :D

-I am a small pleco.
-I am currently not assigned to a genus.
-I am rarely if ever imported for the trade, but would probably be of much interest to pleco keepers.

Ah rats! :-(

I was going on the fact that the Cat-e-log entry seems to cast doubt on what genus it belongs in:
"This species belongs to the group [...] that has been proposed to belong to a new genus, Panaqolus.
[...].
That said and done, it does not appear that it will gain acceptance among the majority of the scientific community. Late in 2003, we reverted to calling this species Panaque. "

This guy looks a little bit less flat and is from Venezuela.
?
I think he looks a bit like P.maccus so obviously mine is not "an educated guess", but I'm learning...maybe L400 look-alike?

Having guessed the above (small, upper Orinoco, no picture) I'd like to state that it's very - if not too - difficult to put fishes without picture into this game.
My previous guess (Ancistrini sp(l189)) was too flat, but when the intended fish has no picture one just can't compare.
No need for anyone to feel offended; it's just a suggestion.

-From above and front the markings in my neck area looks like the logo of an international franchise selling fast-food.

Aqualog All L-Numbers? I didn't really have catfish until this past winter so I don't own this book and it's not free online that I could find.
I guess that means you'll have to post a picture when your riddle's done so we can see it.

I was going to post a link and say "It's well worth having" (particularly based on your username), but I found the price in the US quite expensive.

Either way, here's the link. You'll want to log in to Amazon via the links provided at the top of this forum. http://www.amazon.com/Aqualog-Loricarii ... 948&sr=8-4
